Colorado State Board of Education Chairman Bob Schaffer Honored With 2009 Lion’s Heart Award
Colorado State Board of Education Chairman Bob Schaffer will be honored with the 2009 Lion’s Heart Award for his work to celebrate the mission and vision of Colorado Springs Christian Schools. CSCS is the largest Christian school in Colorado, serving almost 1,200 students from kindergarten through grade 12 on four campuses.
Schaffer will be presented with the award at a fundraising event on Saturday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Colorado Springs
Christian Schools auditorium, 4855 Mallow Road.
“Anyone who has had the pleasure of working alongside Bob Schaffer becomes keenly aware of his deep passion for education and providing
quality schools for children, whether the setting is public or private,” said Commissioner of Education Dwight D. Jones. “Congratulations to
Board Chairman Schaffer on being presented with this award.”
